As behind the scenes negotiations among various political parties aimed at unseating the government have intensified, a group of lawmakers from the Nepali Congress (NC) have asked the party leadership to be ready to even offer the leadership of a new government to the third-largest party, UCPN (Maoist).The NC lawmakers, while airing their views at the NC Parliamentary Party meeting on Tuesday, said that the NC’s first priority should be to form a new government under its own leadership. According to participants at the meeting, those championing such views include lawmakers Dhanraj Gurung, Dhruba Wagle and Bhimsen Das Pradhan.”We should try our level best to form a NC-led government but we also need to make strategic moves to unseat this government.
